love this griil March 7, 2010 Jared B. Jensen (Jared) I love this grill. It not that big which is good for a family of 5. But we use it 4 or 5 times a week now. But in the summer when it 100 degrees out we will prob use it more, so we dont have to turn on the oven or stove. My wife does keep telling me that i payed for the weber name , but i love it. Only because if you want a bigger grill without the name it will prob be cheaper. I got the cover and extra drip pans which are both a must. It prob took me about 2 hours to put it together and it was really easy. I recommend this grill.
10 years going strong February 7, 2010 Rollie (San Jose) I have a weber grill, the Silver A, which has the same specs as this grill with two burners and the same body. So I will comment on the durability. I've had mine almost ten years now. I have abused mine like letting it sit out in the rain without a cover or ignoring grease fires while watching TV. It continues to produce the most delicious burgers, steaks, chicken and salmon you have ever tasted. I don't think my grill is ever going to die. It turned out to be a great investment.
LOW END -- CHINESE -- ILL FITTING PARTS February 1, 2010 David R Blane 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having owned Weber gas grills for ofver 20 years, I know a little about them. the spirit line is now imported. Assembling it was a miserable three HOURS of hell. Ill fitting parts, terrible directions. One door was warped. Cheesy plastic chromey thing surrounding the ignitor broke.
This is planned as a temporary step, until I get a Genesis line unit, which AFAIK still made here.
Save up and get a better grill.
perfect ! January 15, 2010 A. Chase This grill was easy to put together, about an hour and a half done well. Very solid, not cheap, even burn, good grates ( if you buy from home depot ). Highly recommended. . .
* you can buy this here from amazon and get the cheap grill grates ( and no sales tax ), then buy the good cast iron grates from home depot for [...]
Cast Iron Grates... November 7, 2009 altos (West Coast) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The 210 is an excellent gas grill, far superior to the big box Char-Broils, Forge or other cheap, flimsy, cheap, poor heat, cheap... units.
One item; it is absolutely true that units sold at Home Depot have cast iron grates, not the bent sheetmetal grates sold with 210's everywhere else. The box storing the grates is marked "Genesis", not "Spirit". This makes a significant difference (IMHO) and is worth a trip to Home Depot. Check the units at the stores to be sure.
Enjoy,
