This BBQ needs bolts and nuts from hardware store February 24, 2010 Flashlight (San Rafael, CA USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Amazingly, this very sturdy BBQ came with a near-wordless diagram for assembly with some image errors (I had to download an earlier version from the 'Net) and worse: the assembly diagram and package of bolts directed customers to assemble key structural frame components with a) bolts too short for secure fastening, and b) NO NUTS, and c) minimal washers. True, a few nuts were designed and provided for OTHER parts - but this BBQ as I unpacked it from the Weber box was very frustrating until I made three (3) trips to the hardware store to replace the short bolts and get fistfuls of nuts and washers. Well - it's been raining since we assembled the BBQ. It seems to work fine simply burning some propane, and I believe it will be a great BBQ when the sun comes out. What were these BBQ engineers thinking of? Saving a few pennies?
It's all about the tools! February 22, 2010 btdtphx (Phoenix, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The food that has been coming of this grill is amazing. Assembly was a little hard at the beginning stages but got easier. I actually assembled it at night because I was too excited and couldn't wait for daylight so that made it more difficult. If you get it (and you should), I recommend assembly during daylight hours. Oh...and it looks good too.
Worth Every Penny February 2, 2010 P. Lauher I did the research and saw the universally excellent reviews of this grill - they are right! Excellent fit, finish and quality overall. The packing alone was a work of art, really. Great instructions and the pieces went together very easily. Grills beautifully, of course. No cold spots, easy to use, looks fantastic. I have never bothered writing a review before, but this product warrants it - worth every penny!
Great grill February 2, 2010 John M. Hunter (Texas) Great grill. I went away from Weber with my last grill and regretted it until the day I got my new Weber. The amazing thing about this grill is how fast it gets up past 500 degrees. When you turn the gas control knob and hit the ignition, it lights immediately and gets to temperature in minutes. So far, everything I have cooked on it has turned out great. If I had to complain about anything, it would just be the assembly. It took me about five hours but considering that I am the least handy guy you will ever find, I got it done and it looks great and cooks great.
It's a dream January 19, 2010 AnRaNo (USA) This grill is a dream. It was very easy to assemble, it took just a little time. No Parts were missing, not even one screw.
The parts, the whole grill is very very very high quality. I think, it's the best grill in this price range on the market. I can highly recommend that gas grill. No Cons so far for me. Everything else was as described.
